Google was down for most of the day today. The service disruption affected all of the Google services. People could not get to Google News, Gmail, Google Apps and even Google.com.
The news was all over Twitter. On a financial note, I wonder how this will affect their stock price today at the end of the trading day.
Can you imagine all the advertising revenue that was lost. All adwords & adsense dollars! Whew. Unreal.
At this time, Google’s own online dashboard, which informs users of the status of its services, suggests the disruptions have been resolved.
